#922 Great Lunch Breaks

Whether you’re at school, in an office or a store or if you’re a full-time parent, it’s no question that work can take the “Mickey” out of you.

So when that magical time for a break arrives you cherish every second of freedom.

But sometimes, in that free space, magical things can happen that has you coming back smiling.

You might…

  • score a smile from that cute dude/chick at the counter,
  • be the first in line at the post office,
  • have a silly-fun time/adventure and creating personal jokes before class (you know the kind that end up sticking with you for a lifetime),
  • catch up with an old school friend you haven’t seen in a while,
  • have lovely a chat and chuckle with your favourite cashier at your favourite food place… The list could go on!

Today, mine consisted having grand conversations and great laughs with work mates.

It was pretty…

AWESOME!

What we got up to was a liiiitle like this at the end… Except with rubber bands…

  1. I could think of most all the examples above, even those noon hours when there were no lunch monitors! I’d have to say the best lunch hours though were the ones when we had slug races at the plant nursery and/or on the highway works when a kind and generous passerby would stop and give us a cold beer in the hot sun. When we were called away from our lunch at the nursing home, to clean up a catastrophe, laugh like crazy and go back to eating, and laugh that we could still have appetites after all!
When I worked in a music shop and the boss would dictate what we could play when he was there, but when he left for lunch, we’d go wild, play rock, loud, sing and dance our hearts out, attract more customers…attractive customers with big warm, appreciative smiles~ double score!!
Good people, good fun, fun foods! Belly laughs, great jokes, music…def. an awesome lunch time!

    • Lunch breaks during high school were great. I didn’t eat lunch, I socialized. Except for the last half of the year during my senior year, I took up an extra class that was taught during lunch.

  2. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaa Jim Carey :””DDD
The best lunch breaks I’ve ever had were in Year 9 when I’d stumble around school with my best friends Hannah and Ella, having a ball of a time, constantly having to crouch down so we didn’t pee ourselves because we were laughing so hard. Some of those personal jokes still stayed on even after Ella left :’D And then we’ve had great lunch times last year and the year before, many laughs had at friends’ stupidity and Hannah’s silliness, and me and Hannah wondering how we have friends because we’re so unbelievably weird and awkward around each other. Then the last two years our group has done Secret Santa and it’s always been fun with many photos taken 😀 I plan to have even better lunch breaks this year!! And then in my gap year I’ll be able to experince actually shopping and seeing people outside of work/school during my lunch breaks 🙂
